Inspired by an aerial photograph of northeast Alice Springs, hovers with purposeful detachment from the wall. Its shadows allude to silhouettes emerging in white ash, like bones of the old river gum and ironwood after buffle grass fires. The colour nestled in the corner represents a tiny unburnt haven in the photograph, the clinging of hope amid the ceaseless fire cycles tormenting central Australia in late 2023"
